About Toby WilksMy name is Toby Wilks, and I am a qualified homeopath and holistic medicine practitioner who studied at the College of Practical Homeopathy, where I learned the benefits of all the different methods of homeopathy, and the appropriate times at which to use them.
I am also qualified in Firstline Therapy, a cutting edge form of nutritional therapy and therapeutic lifestyle change programme, designed to help people achieve optimal health and wellbeing.
I therefore incorporate herbal tinctures, vitamin and mineral supplements, as well as many other nutritional supplements and dietary advice, into my practice, to help bring the body into a place where the homeopathic remedies will work a lot more effectively, and have a longer lasting, deeper effect.
I am also a member of the Complementary Therapists' Association.

In my practice, I use many different methods in order to address an ailment and restore balance to a person's system, including classical homeopathy (the original, 200 year old style) where apropriate, and I believe it is important to take into consideration factors such as toxicity (from medication / drugs, diet or even environment), which may need addressing before someone is given their 'constitutional remedy' (the remedy which best suits their whole physical and emotional profile).
If the 'layer' of toxicity is not removed, then the constitutional remedy will not work as well, and there may be a 'healing crisis' or 'aggravation' (a worsening of symptoms before getting better).
